Salome Mbenjele is a highly experienced clinical supervisor, counsellor, family therapist, and training consultant with more than 20 years in the field. Her passion lies in developing innovative ways to understand human thought processes, emotions, and behaviors. Throughout her career, Salome has worked in various state government and public sector roles, as well as independently as a clinician, manager, supervisor, and training consultant.

In her practice, Salome offers individual professional coaching, mentoring, and debriefing services. She employs cognitive mindfulness-based strategies to facilitate rapid personal, professional, and organizational change. She specializes in working with individuals and organizations on issues related to drug and alcohol use, torture and trauma, mental health, wellbeing, and happiness. Additionally, Salome has developed unique training packages focusing on leadership development, team building, conflict resolution, effective communication, compassionate fatigue, cultural competence, and managing change, particularly for those working with refugees and asylum seekers from culturally and linguistically diverse (CaLD) backgrounds.

Salome's personal style is warm, engaging, and passionate, underpinned by significant academic qualifications in counselling psychology and trauma-informed practice. She is recognized as a lead clinician and trainer in solution-focused and competency-based approaches, integrating these methodologies to help clients achieve a balanced work and life dynamic.

Her journey led to the establishment of Moonlight Health and Wellbeing in 2014, born out of her own challenges in securing a clinical supervisor after moving from New Zealand in 2009.
