Salome Mbenjele

A hardworking, conscientious, caring clinical supervisor with extensive knowledge and years of experience in mental health and drug and alcohol. My areas of expertise lie in treating anxiety, depression, relationship issues, women’s issues, health-related psychosocial issues and alcohol and other drugs related issues. I worked in the Pilbara region with CALD and ATSI clients treating clients for various complex psychosocial issues.

I also worked for seven years in New Zealand before moving to Australia, providing some one-one counselling and group facilitation to carers of relatives and friends living with a mental illness. My memorable time was with Western Australia Country Heath Services as Commonwealth Carelink and respite coordinator. This life-changing experience gave me valuable training and experience, particularly in crisis, assessment and management.

I love working as a counsellor. I have a proven ability to empathise with individuals whilst retaining an objective and realistic approach to their treatment and therapy. Comfortable working and communicating with people from different cultural backgrounds.
